Minnie L. (Hopkins) Dismore Sells

Minnie L. (Hopkins) Dismore Sells, 99, of Veedersburg, passed away at 2:57 pm Tuesday January 4, 2011 at the Waters of Covington, where she had been a patient the past eight years. She was born July 7, 1911 in Washington County, Indiana to Claude and Ida (Holstine) Hopkins. She married Francis Dismore in 1931 and he preceded her in death in 1960. She married Horace Sells in 1963 and he preceded her in death in 1972. Survivors include a daughter, Ida Mae (Bud) Hershberger and two sons, Carl Wayne (Catherine) Dismore and Lee Roy (Shirley) Dismore all of Veedersburg; two step-daughters, Joyce Davis and Jewel Vaughn both of Williamsport; six granddaughters, Rhonda (Nick) Linville, Renee (Daniel) McGrady, Carla (Dave) Newnum, Sandy (James) Robinson, Lori (Mark) Bowlus, and Debbie (Tim) Davis; one grandson, Eric (Denise) Dismore; several step-grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, three infant brothers, one sister, Flossie Weston, five brothers, Everett Hopkins, Erman Hopkins, William Hopkins, James Hopkins, and Roy Hopkins; four step-children, a granddaughter, and many, many friends. Minnie was a long time member of the Sterling Christian Church and the Sterling Ladies Aid. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday January 7, 2011 at Sterling Christian Church 109 N. Eagle St. Veedersburg with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00am Friday and continue until time of service. Burial at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery in Waynetown, IN.
