Reva J. Richey

Reva J. Richey, 57, of Indianapolis, passed away 10:35 am Friday January 21, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born October 12, 1953 in Danville, Illinois and married Gary Richey May 27, 1973 at Community Bible Baptist Church in Veedersburg, IN. Surviving family include her husband, Gary Richey, Indianapolis; father Fred Hawn (wife, Kunchi), Austin, TX; mother, Betty Dillon (husband, Larry), Cayuga, IN; four sons, Gary W. Richey II (wife, Kristy), Chattanooga, TN; Cory A. Richey (fiancé Ida Pepper) Lewisburg, TN; Brandon S. Richey (fiancé Katherine Carton) Murfreesboro, TN; Brett A. Richey (fiancé Jennifer Edwards) Lewisburg, TN; two sisters, Rise’’ Bowling, Covington, IN; Rebecca Bedo, LA; two half-brothers, Larry Dillon (wife Nadarea), Darlington, IN; Shane M. Dillon, (wife, Sami), Cayuga, IN; ten grandchildren, Ashley Richey, Wyatt Richey, Jeff Richey, Abigail Richey, Haley Richey, Brandon Richey Jr., Devan Richey, Averi Richey, Lillian Richey, Adam Richey, and Courtney Joyce Richey due in April. She is preceded in death by a grandson Michael Richey. Reva graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1973. She and Gary had lived in Nashville, TN and were still members of the Christ Church in Nashville. Reva was employed at DFAS on the site of Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis. The greatest joy and love of her life was her family, especially her husband, kids and grandkids. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday January 25, 2011 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg, IN with Rev. Steven Livengood officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 pm Monday January 24, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial at West Ridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
