Nina June “Tiny” Dice, 92, a lifelong resident of Veedersburg, died at 9:14 am Saturday April 30, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, from complications due to congestive heart failure.
She was born January 20, 1919 the daughter of Mont and Cleo L. (Wilson) Boatman. She married M. Lloyd Dice January 5, 1941, they enjoyed 67 years of marriage before his passing in 2007.
Surviving family include two sons, Duane (wife, Diana) Dice, Atlanta, GA; Don (wife, Karen) Dice, Indianapolis; two granddaughters, Jaime Dice, Rhode Island; Megan Dice, California; three step-grandchildren, Shane, Jerad, and Renae; two brothers, Sam Boatman, Danville, IL; Mont Jr. (wife, Tilly) Boatman, Jeffersonville, IN; step-brother, Lowell ( wife, Deane ) Crane, Veedersburg.
She was a 1937 graduate of Veedersburg High School, a member of the New Century Evangelical United Brethren Church for over 60 years. She enjoyed participating in the local KIT Club, Hub Club, and Quilting Club in her later years. She will be dearly missed.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday May 3, 2011 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Joe Dodds officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home and continue until time of service. Interment at Bonebrake Cemetery near Veedersburg.
