Roy E. Wilson, 93, of Crawfordsville and formerly of Kingman, passed away 6:30am Tuesday August 30, 2011 at Ben Hur Home in Crawfordsville.
Mr. Wilson was born September 16, 1917 in Scottsburg IN to Fred and Della (Peacock) Wilson. He married Bessie A. Turner in Scott County on December 8, 1936. She has preceded him in death.
He graduated from Scottsburg High School, and founded Wilson Painting Co. in 1943. He was an ordained minister with the Church of the Nazarene, and was a member of the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving family include three sons, David (Ann) Wilson of Kingman; James (Stephanie) Wilson of Ft Gaines, GA; Stephen (Cindy) Wilson of Nashville, TN; three daughters, Doris Crispin of Crawfordsville, Catherine (Paul) Williams of Beachwood, OH; Evangeline (Fouad) Hawa of Evansville; Karen (Robert) Hoff of Nashville, TN; 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Madge Kidwell of Scottsburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul F. Wilson; a daughter, Caroline Suiter; granddaughters, Kim Suiter and Lori Turpin, and four sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon Saturday September 3, 2011 at Centennial Community Church near Yeddo with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating.
