Vera L. Minick

Vera L. Minick, 76, formerly of Stone Bluff near Veedersburg, passed away 9:06 am Saturday September 17, 2011 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She had recently been a resident at Mt Vernon Nursing Center. Mrs. Minick was born March 14, 1935 in Greenhill, Indiana the daughter of Richard and Eva (Bell) Watkins. Vera married Angus Minick January 17, 1975. Surviving family include husband, Angus Minick, Stone Bluff; two daughters, Deborah (husband, Pawan) Khofla, Mt Vernon, IN; Sandy Garrison, Mt Vernon, IN; two sons, Mike (wife, Angie) Garrison, Lafayette; Allen Garrison, Indianapolis; brother-in-law Chester Yerkes, Otterbein, IN; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter Margaret Finney; three sisters, Martha Yerkes, Margaret Mull, Anna Bowen; and a brother Richard Watkins. Vera was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Williamsport, IN. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday September 21, 2011 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Visitation will begin 11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home and continue until the time of service. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, IN.
