Gary Lee Mitchell

Gary Lee Mitchell, 70, of Veedersburg, died 4:15 pm Saturday October 29, 2011 at St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born December 24, 1940 in Veedersburg the son of Earl and Josephine (Shoaf) Mitchell. They have preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by a sister Delilah Gunn in March 2011, a sister Donna McLean, and an infant brother Jackie Dean Mitchell. Surviving family include one nephew, five nieces, a special coffee buddy, Scott Ratcliff, and many friends. Gary graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1959. He was employed as an electrician at Raybestos Powertrain LLC in Crawfordsville for over forty years, retiring in 2003. He was an avid fan of I.U. Basketball, and loved to spend time on his computers, corresponding with his many friends. Gary was a member of the First Christian Church in Veedersburg. Graveside service will be 11:00 am Tuesday November 1, 2011 at Bonebrake Cemetery near Veedersburg, with Pastor Garland Pannell officiating.
