Susan Jane (Wodetzki) Chowning

Susan Jane (Wodetzki) Chowning, 66, of Veedersburg, died at 11:19 pm Wednesday January 9, 2013 at St Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, IN.. Mrs. Chowning was born April 13, 1946 in Danville, IL the daughter of Henry and Louise (Williams) Wodetzki. She married Larry Chowning November 15, 1991 in Danville, IL. Surviving family include her husband, Larry Chowning, Veedersburg; a daughter, Kimberly Anderson, Lafayette; a son, Jeffrey Anderson; a step-daughter, Lori Lynn Chowning (Dan Kerr), Danville IL; a step-son, Jeffrey (Tammy) Chowning, Veedersburg; a brother Tom (Sharon) Wodetzki, Albion, CA; two grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bruce Wodetzki. Susan graduated from Danville High School and the Ivy Tech Nursing College in Lafayette. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Danville, and had been employed as a nurse in the Pallative Care Ward at the V.A. Illiana Health Care System in Danville IL. She enjoyed being outside and tending to her many flowers. Arrangements entrusted to Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Private family services will be held at a later date.
