Donald R. Cagle

Donald R. Cagle, 55, of rural Veedersburg, passed away 4:16pm Friday March 1, 2013 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He was born July 12, 1957 in Danville, Illinois the son of Arvel R. Cagle and Ordella (Cagle) Prince. His father has preceded him in death. Surviving family include his mother, Ordella (Cagle) Prince, Veedersburg; a step-daughter, Laura Sue Wick, Kokomo; three sisters, Kimberly Bates, Veedersburg; Rebecca Allman(husband, Wallace), Lovelady, TX; Melissa Mitchell (friend, Mike Baker), Danville, IL; a brother, Stephen Cagle, Danville, IL; nine nieces and nephews, including a special nephew Tyler Cagle; and several great-nieces and nephews. Donald served his country in the US Army 1975 – 1979. He had been employed as a welder at various companies for several years. He enjoyed living on the farm taking care of the animals and his dogs; he was looking forward to the upcoming spring and working in the garden. Funeral service will be 5:00 pm Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm Tuesday and continue until the time of service. Military honors provided by American Legion Post #288. Burial will be at VA National Cemetery in Danville later in the week. Memorial contributions may be given to help family with funeral expense.
