Earl J. Wallace, 79, of Veedersburg, passed away 1:41 pm Wednesday April 3, 2013 at Franciscan St Elizabeth Hospital in Crawfordsville, IN
He was born June 2, 1933 in Clinton, IN the son of Earl F. and Rose Wallace. They have preceded him in death. Earl married Mary Ann Kazakevich November 14, 1959 in Clinton IN.
Surviving family include his wife Mary Ann Wallace, Veedersburg; two sons, Michael Bryan (Donna) Wallace, Coatsville, IN and Glenn Matthew (Donna) Wallace, Veedersburg; three sisters, Margaret Gilman, Covington; Betty Bogetto, Lafayette; Rosemary (Jim) Hughes, Gessie, IN; two brothers, Billie (Betty Lou) Wallace, Perrysville, IN and Darrell (Diana) Wallace, Gessie IN; five grandchildren, Rochelle (Josh) Parson, Catlynne Wallace, Roslyne Wallace, Melissa Wallace, Douglas Wallace, and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Earl graduated from Clinton High School in 1951, and served his country in the US Army, stationed in Germany. He was employed at Allied Chemical in Danville IL for 30 years, retiring in 1986. Earl and Mary lived in Covington for 40 years, and during this time he was very active in the Little League program, the booster club, and was involved in planting many of the trees around Covington; they have resided in Veedersburg for the past 13 years. He enjoyed hunting (when he was younger and able), fishing and watching many different sports. He was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Covington.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday April 8, 2013 at St Joseph Catholic Church in Covington with Father Rasner officiating. Visitation will be 2:00 – 6:00 pm Sunday April 7, 2013 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Clinton, IN.
