Mary Lou Hinote, 82, of Veedersburg, passed away 5:23 pm Sunday May 5, 2013 at Woodland Manor Nursing Home in Attica, IN. Mrs. Hinote was born April 12, 1931 in Veedersburg the daughter of Blythe and Mary Lowe. She married Oscar Hinote November 26, 1955 in Veedersburg. Surviving family include her husband Oscar Hinote, Veedersburg; son, Kevin Hinote, Veedersburg; daughter, Charlena Jiminez, Danville, IL; sister, Betty Jean Harper, Spring Hill, FL; four grandchildren, Samantha Stout, Matthew Montel, Todd Ward, Lori Brady; and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Mary graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1949. She was employed for twenty years at Marshall Studios in Veedersburg. In her younger years Mary had enjoyed camping, and she was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Most of all she loved and enjoyed her family. She was a long-time member of Prairie Creek Baptist Church. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday May 8, 2013 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Loren Stephens officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday May 7, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be given to Prairie Creek Baptist Church.
