Sharon Lee Sollars

Sharon Lee Sollars, 69, of The Waters in Covington and formerly of Kingman, passed away 12:10 am Friday August 2, 2013 at St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Sharon was born August 24, 1943 in Danville IL to L.M. and Vernal (Bury) Sollars. She graduated from Kingman High School in 1964, and had retired from Dormeyer in Rockville IN. Sharon loved playing Bingo and was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed many years of playing softball in her younger years, and was often chosen first when teams were being formed. Sharon lived the last 3 years at The Waters and enjoyed meeting and helping the residents. She cared for all and had a smile and a word for everyone she met. Sharon loved her family, and is survived by two aunts, Louise Sollars of Newburgh, IN; Jacqueline Sollars of Oconomowoc, WI, and several cousins. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Sunday August 4, 2013 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg; visitation will begin at 1:00 pm Sunday and continue until the time of service. Pastor Joe Sollars, cousin of Sharon, will officiate the service. Burial will be at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
