Doris J. (Maltsberger) Brookshire

Doris J. (Maltsberger) Brookshire, age 88 of Covington, IN died on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Lafayette, IN. Doris was born in Fountain County, IN on May 30, 1926. She was the daughter of Scott and Amy (Hershberger) Maltsberger. She married Owen A. Brookshire on August 3, 1945 in Veedersburg, IN and he preceded her in death in 1989. Doris worked for Marshall Studios, Grab It Here, currently the Veedersburg Food Basket, and St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, IL. She was a part of the family of The First Church of Christ in Covington. She enjoyed going to the Friendship Circle Center in Covington where she enjoyed her circle of friends and loved to play euchre. She also attended the quilt club in Veedersburg regularly. She loved her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Surviving are, 2 daughters, Sharon Rozycki (husband: Dan) of Fremont, MI and Carolyn Gilbert (husband: Ed) of Wabash, IN Brother, Donald Maltsberger of Covington, IN 4 grandchildren, Amy Bellia, Kami Dassen, Scott Gilbert, and Michelle Euriga 8 great-grandchildren Doris was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Scott Brookshire. Visitation will be at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Mt.
