Jack B Walker

Jack B. Walker, 79, of Veedersburg, passed away 8:40 am Monday December 15, 2014 at the Waters of Covington. Mr Walker was born August 17, 1935 in Champaign, IL the son of Robert W and Zeta M. (Wade) Walker. His parents have preceded him in death. Jack was previously married to Nancy (Merrill) Rideell and they were blessed with two daughters, Wendy B Scott, Punta Gorda FA; and Kandy K (Joseph) Cover, North Judson IN. He is also survived by two brothers, Richard (Joanna) Walker, Indianapolis IN; Charles (Janet) Walker, Leesburg FA; two grandchildren, Jared (Jennifer) Scott, Cody Scott; and one great-grandchild, Xavier Scott. Jack graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1955, and had served his country in the U.S. Air Force reserves. He was employed by McDonald Douglas in Torrence CA, and had worked for 25 years without ever taking a sick day. He retired from Boeing in 1991. Jack was an avid Notre Dame football fan, and enjoyed watching NFL games. He had also enjoyed the family vacations they had taken over the years. Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Saturday December 20, 2014 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor James Furr officiating.
