Vickie Lynn Butler 61, of Veedersburg, returned to her heavenly home at 4:00 pm Thursday March 5, 2015. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew her and a firm believer in God.
Vickie was born January 3, 1954 in Crawfordsville IN to the late Floyd Walden and Mary (Walden) Britton. She married Tommy Gene Butler on November 28, 1985. Vickie raised her children with patience, love, humor and humility. She was the perfect example of a strong and faithful woman. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Vickie was a role model, she exemplified a woman of great character. She was kind, caring and loving. She is dearly missed by her loved ones and friends, but will celebrate in the fact that she had a personal relationship with God and is now at peace with her Creator.
Vickie is survived by her husband Tom, Veedersburg ; her children Angie (Kerry) Randles, Veedersburg; Michael Rothrock, Veedersburg; and three step children; Melissa (Bryan) Lanham, Attica; Tommy Butler, California; and Randi Butler, Tennessee. She is also survived by one sister; Judith Ragan, Delphi IN; and 7 grandchildren; Brayden Rothrock, Liberty Rothrock, Brier Lanham, Sierra Lanham, Trea Lanham, Ryan Butler and Nick Butler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents and her brothers; Deanie Walden and Bobbie Henderson.
Memorial service will be 7:00 pm Tuesday March 10, 2015 at Sterling Christian Church 701 S. Sterling Ave Veedersburg IN with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm Tuesday and continue until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Sterling Christian Church Building Fund.
