Ralph Wayne Gulley, 95, and Nadine (Taylor) Gulley, 94, of rural Veedersburg, passed away at the farm where they had lived the last 42 years, concluding 74 years of a wonderful marriage. Ralph was born March 31, 1919 in Louisville, KY the son of Edward and Dessa (Nead) Gulley, he passed away 2:05 pm Sunday March 29, 2015. Nadine was born January 24, 1921 in Terre Haute, IN the daughter of Leo M. and Edith S. (Crumrine) Taylor, she passed away 1:30 pm Wednesday April 8, 2015. They were married February 2, 1941 in Danville Illinois. Ralph served in WWII as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corps. Later he was a truck driver for the Paxton Wholesale Grocery in Danville IL. He delivered groceries to area Grab-It-Here stores. He enjoyed gardening and gave away vegetables at his free stand beside his driveway. Ralph and Nadine were members of New Liberty Church where he enjoyed taking care of the yard. Nadine had enjoyed gardening, quilting, reading, and her family. She especially enjoyed working with children during the Vacation Bible School. At the age of 75 she went to Southeast Elementary to help children with computers in her daughter’s first grade class. They leave behind a daughter, Susanne (Jim) Derf, Veedersburg; three sons, Larry (Lynda) Gulley, Anchorage, AK; Joe (Debbie) Gulley, Veedersburg; Rich (Dorinda) Gulley, Terre Haute IN; nine grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and many friends. Ralph was preceded in death by a half-brother, Harold Chambiss; a sister, Virginia Cary; brothers Austin Gulley, Robert Gulley, Kermit Gulley; and an infant brother Buford Edward Gulley. Nadine was preceded in death by two sisters, Ella Webster and Agnes Stevens. Funeral service for Ralph and Nadine will be 2:00 pm Tuesday April 14, 2015 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Rich McQuinn officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon Tuesday and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow service at Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg with military honors provided by American Legion Post #288. Online condolences at www.dickersonfuneralhome.com
