Martha L Ratcliff

Martha L. Ratcliff, 87, of Covington and formerly of Veedersburg, passed away 8:30 pm Monday July 27, 2015 at the Waters of Covington with her family at her side. Mrs. Ratcliff was born September 28, 1927 in Veedersburg IN the daughter of Walter and Audrah (Smith) Haas. She married Charles R. Ratcliff June 2, 1945; he preceded her in death January 26, 2009. She is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca Jane Schaeffer; a brother, Lorin Haas; an infant brother, Wayne Haas. Surviving family include two daughters, Delayne (Wayne) Rice, Covington; Becky (Donnie) Schaeffer, Veedersburg; a sister, Nancy McLean, Orange City, FL; five grandchildren, Kim (David) Phemister, Darrin (Dee) Bentley, Sasha (Silas) Query, Nick (Bre) Williams, Darci (Bryan) James; and eleven great-grandchildren. Martha was a member of the Sterling Christian Church, she enjoyed Nascar with Jeff Gordon being her favorite driver, the Indianapolis Colts, she loved and enjoyed her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday July 31, 2015 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Gary Johnson & Pastor Michael Trusty officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am Friday and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow service at Rockfield Cemetery.
