John S. Rahm, 65, of Veedersburg, died 9:56 pm Sunday March 8, 2009 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, Illinois.
Mr. Rahm was born May 21, 1943 in Covington, the son of Arthur L. and Mary Ellen (Knee) Rahm. He was married to Alma Brown in Georgetown, IL, in 1972. She has preceded him in death.
He is also preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and two brothers.
Survivors include a daughter Laura Lynn, Michigan; sister Mildred Roarks, Covington; brother, Archie Rahm, Georgetown, IL; and two grandchildren.
He served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. He was previously employed by Harrison Steel and Fountain Foundry. He was a member of the Veedersburg Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday March 11, 2009 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Dean Hancock officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon and continue until time of service. Interment will be at Forest Park Cemetery in Georgetown, Illinois with military honors.
