Susanne "Susie" Keller

Susanne “Susie” Keller, 62, of Veedersburg, passed away 11:22 AM Sunday December 13, 2015 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. Susie was born October 14, 1953 in Danville, IL the daughter of Charles B. and Lucy Ellen (Jackson) Keller. She married Myron Swaim May 23, 1973 and he preceded her in death March 1985. Susie married Bill Keller February 14, 1987, and he survives. She is preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Maralee Lang in February 2015. Surviving family include her husband, Bill Keller, Veedersburg; two sisters, Luellen (Jerry) Stetler, MO; Jody (Gary) Rush, Waynetown IN; a brother Charles “Benny” Keller, MS; and many nieces and nephews. Susie graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1971, and she has been employed as a seamstress for Steel Grip for over 30 years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post#2395 in Covington, and a member of First Church of Christ in Covington, having been baptized April 17, 2014. Susie loved to read, research genealogy, and enjoyed visiting cemeteries observing and photographing the various markers. She also enjoyed the many trips to Las Vegas her and Bill had been able to take over the years. Although Susie never had children of her own she had helped raise many of her nieces and great- nieces who became like her own children. A Celebration of Susie’s Life will be 4:00 pm Saturday December 19, 2015 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Eddy Jones officiating. Visitation will begin 2:00 pm Saturday and continue until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
