Roger L Blankenbeckler

Roger L. Blankenbeckler, 62, of Veedersburg passed away at 8:33 PM Tuesday January 5, 2016 at The Waters of Covington. He was born March 28, 1953 in Morehead, Kentucky the son of Glen & Gertrude (Lambert) Blankenbeckler. Surviving family include two sisters, Vee Wampler, Wheatfield IN; Linda (Jerry) Brock, Covington; four brothers, Ray (Joellen) Blankenbeckler, West Lebanon IN; Leroy (Teresa) Blankenbeckler, Veedersburg; John (Kerry) Blankenbeckler, Danville IL; Ron (Chris) Blankenbeckler, Veedersburg; Kenny (Judy) Blankenbeckler, Veedersburg. He is preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. Roger had worked as a mechanic along with his brother Kenny at the Veedersburg Shell Station for nearly twenty years. He specialized in building custom drag cars, from the ground up. Although he never drove the cars at drag strips, he enjoyed attending drag races throughout Indiana. Memorial service will be 1:00 Saturday February 6, 2016 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg.
