Mildred L Gross

Mildred L. Gross, 64, of Veedersburg, died Thursday April 23, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign, Illinois. She was born December 3, 1944 in Wingate, Indiana the daughter of Richard J. Head and Hazel (Brewer) Gookins. She married Richard H. Gross July 28, 1962 in Veedersburg. Mildred is survived by her mother Hazel Gookins, Veedersburg; husband, Richard Gross, Veedersburg; two daughters, Cindy Ford (husband Dean), Sterling, IL; and Teresa Cooper, (husband Brian), Veedersburg; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father. She received her greatest enjoyment in life from her family and she also enjoyed feeding and watching the many birds in her yard. Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Saturday April 25, 2009 at Rockfield Cemetery in Veedersburg with Pastor Tim Lyons officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Dickerson Funeral Home.
