Herbert Shoemaker Jr.

Herbert Shoemaker Jr., 82, of Covington, passed away at his residence Tuesday March 1, 2016. He was born October 18, 1933 in Covington the son of Herbert and Lula Shumaker. He married Frances A. Rahm January 21, 1955, she has preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Janet Louise. Surviving family include two daughters, Ellee (Rick) Carpenter Veedersburg; Denise Sullivan, Ohio; three sons, Bruce (Alice) Shoemaker, Covington; Daniel (Glenda) Shoemaker, Veedersburg; Herbert (Dana) Shoemaker Jr., Veedersburg; four half-brothers, John Morgan, Marvin Morgan, Bob Morgan, Ralph Morgan, a half-sister, Gail Voight; ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Through the years he had been employed at C&I Railroad and Bohn Aluminum in Danville, IL, retiring from Bohn Aluminum. Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Monday March 7, 2016 at Snoddy’s Coal Creek Cemetery near Stringtown Indiana, where he will be buried along with his wife, Frances. Arrangements entrusted to Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg.
