Mildred L Clark

Mildred L. Clark, 93, of rural Covington, passed away peacefully full of love and laughter with her family at her side, 1:20 PM Thursday April 21, 2016 at the Waters of Covington. Mildred was born June 5, 1922 in Montezuma, Indiana the daughter of Oscar Lawrence Hinote Sr. and Leona Blanche (Hughes) Hinote. She married Eugene D. Clark November 3, 1945 in Covington, Indiana, they had 70 years of loving friendship and marriage. Surviving family include her husband, Eugene D. Clark, Covington; two daughters, Sherry (Harold) Oakes, Lake Wales, FL; Marilyn (Allen) Holt, Covington; two brothers, Oscar Hinote, Veedersburg; Jake Hinote, Fairmount, IL; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and seventeen great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins; whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Julia Rusk, Ruth Dowers; and three brothers, Harold Hughes, Carl Hinote, Glenn Hinote, and a great grandson Daniel Ditto. Mildred loved life and meeting people. She was a member of the Sterling Christian Church, American Legion Post #288 Ladies Auxiliary, Covington VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society in Covington. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday April 25, 2016 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Ryan Sowers officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday April 24, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow service at Rockfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Shriner’s Children Hospital or the Make A Wish foundation.
