Harold Lee Crowder

Harold Lee Crowder, age 66 of Veedersburg, IN died at 4:21 am on Friday, May 29, 2009 at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis. Harold was born in Yeddo, IN on April 7, 1943. He was the son of John H. and Artie (Elliott) Crowder. He attended Veedersburg School. On February 8, 1964 he married Freda Marie Newkirk in Covington, IN. She preceded him in death in 2003. Harold worked for McKinney Farm Drainage in Hillsboro retiring in 2002. He enjoyed his grandchildren and tinkering around his garage. Surviving are, 1 daughter, Regina Lynn Crowder of Veedersburg; 1 son, Scot Alan Crowder (wife: Wendy) of Veedersburg; 4 grandchildren, Dustin Wayne Crowder, Alicia Louise Crowder, Eric Scott Crowder and Rachel Marie Crowder; and companion, Sue Cox of Veedersburg. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Freda, and 1 brother, Louis J. Crowder. Visitation will be at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg on Sunday, May 31, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm EDT. Services will be there in the chapel on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 2:00 pm EDT with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington.
