Zella Newnum

Zella M. Newnum, 84, died 12:15 pm Thursday June 4, 2009 at her residence in Veedersburg following a lengthy battle with cancer. Zella had lived with her niece Ruth Simonton and family for over thirty years in Veedersburg. She was born July 5, 1924 in Parke County Indiana the daughter of Claude & Sylvia (Groves) Newnum. She is survived by two sisters Eleanor Stambaugh, Georgetown, Illinois; and Anna M. McQueary, Bloomingdale. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday June 6, 2009 at Rush Creek Cemetery near Tangier, Indiana with Pastor Anthony Newell officiating. Services entrusted to Dickerson Funeral Home.
