Donald L. Lang, 81, of Veedersburg, passed away 6:56 AM Thursday July 7, 2016 at Ben Hur Health & Rehabilitation in Crawfordsville IN. Don was born December 17, 1934 in Greencastle IN the son of Cecil David and Vallie Darlene (Shoup) Lang. He had previously been married to Mariann Boord Martin and they had two children, Kevin & Patty. Surviving family include a son, Kevin T. (Tamara) Lang, Veedersburg; a daughter, Patty (Brad) Smith, Covington; a twin sister, Betty Lou Brewer, Veedersburg; four grandchildren, Phillip Jake Gritten (Ashlee Vandevender), Katelan N. (Joshua) Blaydes, Joshua Michael Lang (Amber Monce), and Derrick (Lawshana) Lang; two great-grandchildren Joshua Gritten and Elijah Blaydes; and one more great-grandchild expected any day, Landon Lang. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Martha Briles; and three brothers, Arthur Lang, Charles Lang, and Robert Lang. Don had been employed at TeePak in Danville IL prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, whenever and wherever he had the opportunity; and watching Nascar races with Dale Earnhardt Sr. being his favorite driver. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday July 9, 2016 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Brenda Burnworth officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am Saturday and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow service at Osborn Prairie Cemetery near Stone Bluff, IN.
