Richard Leslie “Rick” Keith, 68, of rural Veedersburg passed away Saturday November 19, 2016.
Rick was born November 5, 1948 in Watseka, Illinois the son of James Kenneth and Kathryn Irene (Taylor) Keith. He had married Linda Douglas, and they later divorced.
Surviving family include two daughters, Rebecca Beristain, Lafayette; Mona Louise (Juan) Teoba, Lafayette; a son Johnathon J. Keith, Kingman; three sisters, Kathryn D. Keith, Veedersburg; Melba Jean Keith, Joliet IL; Hallie (John) Hannon, Veedersburg; two brothers, James K. Keith, Wingate; Gregory Drew (Susie) Keith, Elkland, MO; eight grandchildren, Ivy Beristain, Diego Beristain, Joseph Voyce, Angel Teoba, Adrian Teoba, Antonio Teoba, Juanito Teoba, Giuliana Teoba; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Rick graduated from Fountain Central High School where he had enjoyed playing varsity football and had earned a spot on their wall of fame; after high school he served his country in the US Navy. Prior to retirement he was employed as a machinist at Danville Metal Stamping; he was a member of the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene, NRA, Rocky Forge Blacksmithing Guild. He also had many other interest and club involvements throughout his life.
Funeral service will be 2:00PM Wednesday November 23, 2016 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Wednesday and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow service at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport IN. Online condolences at www.dickersonfuneralhome.com
