Michael A. "Mick" Linker

Michael A. “Mick” Linker, 73, of Veedersburg, passed away 9:09 PM Saturday January 21, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport, Indiana. Mick was born September 13, 1943 in Veedersburg, IN the son of Harold Joseph and Mable Lucille (Sollars) Linker. He married Gloria J. Davis October 3, 1969 at Community Bible Baptist Church near Veedersburg, IN. Surviving family include his wife, Gloria J. Linker, Veedersburg; daughter Stacey M. Johnston, Otterbein; son Jason M. Linker, Veedersburg; sister, Saundra (John) Olds, Veedersburg; sister-in-law, Susie Linker, Veedersburg; two grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Cook and Jake Ryan Johnston; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Thomas Linker; a son, Richard Linker; and an infant son, Michael Linker. Mick attended Veedersburg High School and had been employed at Harrison Steel in Attica for 28 years, then Wabash National in Lafayette for 10 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Veedersburg. Mick had coached Little League Baseball in Veedersburg and Attica for many years. He was an avid sports fan with the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Cubs, and I.U. Basketball being his favorite teams. He was a passionate Euchre player, and most of all he dearly loved his family especially his children and grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday January 25, 2017 at First Christian Church 301 N. Mill St. Veedersburg IN, with Pastor Garland Pannell officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the church and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow service at Rockfield Cemetery.
