Charles Thomas “Tom” White, 81, of rural Veedersburg, passed away 5:05 AM Tuesday April 4, 2017 at The Lane House in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Tom was born July 31, 1935 in Hillsboro, Indiana the son of Clyde White and Colistable “Billie” Donham Grimes. He married Sandra J. Coffman January 25, 1983 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Surviving family include his wife, Sandy White, Veedersburg; a daughter, Kimberly Zirrillo-Bell (husband, Greg) Noblesville, IN; step-son, Sean R. Milbourne (wife, Shyla) New Port Richey, FL; a brother, George L. White (wife, Annie); half-brother, Steven Grimes; three granddaughters, Tiffany, Jessica, Heidi; one grandson, Aiden; eight great-grandchildren; and three nephews, George L White Jr., Curtis White, Bob White. He is preceded in death by a son Charles Thomas “Tommy” White Jr. Tom graduated from Richland Township High School in 1953. He served his country in the US Navy, stationed aboard the USS Ajax. He was an over the road truck driver, having worked for E L Trevena in Largo FL, and retired from US Xpress in Chattanooga TN. Tom enjoyed reading the local newspapers; visiting and having coffee with his friends at the Apple Tree Restaurant. He also leaves behind three furry friends that he enjoyed, Garfield, Foo-Man, and Tigger. Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00 PM Wednesday April 19, 2017 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg, with Military Honors provide by American Legion Post #288.
