Marguerite Walls, 93, former Veedersburg resident, died Friday September 11th, 2009 at her daughter’s residence in Mundelein, Illinois. Marguerite had been living with and receiving care from her daughter Mary Jane Dickson for the past 13 years.
Mrs. Walls was born August 7, 1916 in Veedersburg, IN. the daughter of Czar and Nora (Hardesty) Briner. She married Archie Walls December 19th, 1934 in Veedersburg. Archie preceded her in death in 1991.
Surviving family includes two sons Charles Walls (wife, Reatha) Veedersburg; and Paul Walls (wife, Barbara) Buffalo Grove, IL; daughter Mary Jane Dickson (husband, Wade) Mundelein, IL; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Marguerite graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1934. She was a member of the Veedersburg Church of the Nazarene and the Bonebrake Cemetery League. She enjoyed reading, sewing and traveling. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a sales representative for Stanley Products and a seamstress for the area coat factories in Covington and Danville.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday September 19, 2009 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. J. Wade Dickson officiating. Interment will be at Rockfield Cemetery.
