Blanche Irene (Kennedy) Clore, age 92 of Monticello, IN, formerly of Veedersburg, IN, died at 5:10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health – Lafayette East.
Irene was born on July 9, 1925 in Wingate, IN. She was the daughter of Earl and Gertrude (Hesler) Kennedy. She spent most of her life in Veedersburg, IN and had been a resident of Monticello, IN since 2011. On May 5, 1945 she married Herbert Clore. He preceded her on January 27, 2010.
Irene was a member of the Veedersburg United Methodist Church and the Veedersburg American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #288. She was a past president and former board member of the Bonebrake Cemetery League. She had worked at the Indiana Creamery in Veedersburg, IN. She enjoyed cooking and cabbage rolls were her specialty. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing and embroidery.

4 grandchildren, Amber Clore, Dale Clore, Adam Clore, Tracy Clore

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, John Clore, and 1 sister, Thelma Louise Kennedy.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Dickerson Funeral Home. Inurnment at Bonebrake Cemetery on a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Library at the Veedersburg Public Library or the Veedersburg United Methodist Church.
