Marine A. Blair (Holland) (nee Winkler) age 95, formerly of Veedersburg, passed away Wednesday October 14, 2009 at Lakewood Center in Plainfield, Illinois.
Mrs. Blair was born August 23, 1914 in Norfolk, Nebraska the daughter of Herman and Ella Winkler. She graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1932. Marine and her husband Phil Blair sold antiques and repaired clocks for many years in Veedersburg beginning in 1946.
Marine is survived by a son Benny L. Holland & close friend Marietta Pyle of Channahon, IL; grandson Anthony (Brenda) Holland, Minooka, IL; great-grandson, Michael (Alicia) Holland, Kansas City, MO; great-granddaughter Jennifer Holland, Minooka, IL; and great-grandson Joshua Manion, Channahon, IL.
She is also survived by a step daughter Ann (husband, Nels) Sostrom (Helms) nee Blair; step-son, Richard (Velma) Blair, Muncie, IN; step-grandchildren, Lori (Michael) Zumo (nee Helms), Michael Helms, Susan (John) Glass (nee Helms), Cheyenne, WY; Richard (Terri) Blair, Steven Blair, Sue (Earl) Blair, Debbie (Ron) Richcreek, Muncie, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
Marine is preceded in death by her husbands, Phillip H. Blair and Gaton B. Holland; sisters Isabella Brose, IL;, and Evelyn Jean, Attica, IN; daughter-in-law Ethel Holland (nee Wildman), Channahon, IL; and granddaughter Rebecca Manion (nee Holland), Channahon, IL.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am (EST) Monday October19, 2009 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg, IN with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Interment at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am (EST) and continue until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Sterling Christian Church, in Veedersburg.
