Larry D. Warrick

Larry D. Warrick, 64, of Veedersburg, passed away 9:20 pm Wednesday December 23, 2009 at The Lane House in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He was born July 4, 1945 in Danville, Illinois the son of Robert and Betty (Tubbs) Warrick. He married Vicki L. Holt March 5, 1982 at the Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg. Surviving family includes his wife, Vicki Warrick, Veedersburg; daughters, Brookie (Aric) Henschen, Plainfield, IL; Apryl Warrick, Tuscon, AZ; Amiee Hunt, Huntington, IN; brothers, Bobby (Suzie) Warrick, Veedersburg; Michael (Dawnna) Warrick, Covington; Tim (Lynn) Warrick, Veedersburg; sisters, Darlene (Dean) Messick, Veedersburg; Janet Warrick, Veedersburg; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Jason David Warrick in May 1971, four brothers and one sister. Larry was a 1965 graduate from Fountain Central High School. He served in the U.S. Army as military police in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He worked as a welder and operated the RIBCO company for 30 years in Veedersburg. He was member of the F. & A.M. Lodge #491 in Veedersburg, was named Kentucky Colonel in recognition of his many charitable contributions, a member of the American Boer Goat Association, and was a devoted supporter of the Fountain County 4 – H program. He enjoyed taking his friends and family for rides in his Model T. His greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with his grandkids and family. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Monday December 28, 2009 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Richard Throckmorton and Pastor Bob Fairchild officiating. Interment at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 pm Sunday December 27, 2009 at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 6:45 pm.
