Herbert Dale Clore

Herbert Dale Clore, 85, of Veedersburg, died 7:23 pm Wednesday January 27, 2010 at the V.A. Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN. He was born June 9, 1924 in Wallace, IN the son of Cecil and Laverne (Sowers) Clore. He married Irene Kennedy May 5, 1945 in Veedersburg and they were blessed with 64 wonderful years of marriage. Surviving family includes wife, Irene Clore, Veedersburg; daughter Carolyn (Allen) Williams, Monticello, IN; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son John Clore and three brothers. Herb graduated from Wallace High School in 1943 and served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He operated a plumbing business in Veedersburg for 42 years. He was a member of the Veedersburg American Legion Post #288. Herb was also very active in the Veedersburg Little League and Scout programs when his children were younger. Funeral service will be 4:00 PM Saturday January 30, 2010 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00 PM Saturday January 30, 2010 at the funeral home.
