James M. "Mike" Strean

James M. “Mike” Strean, 60, of Veedersburg, passed away 8:50 pm Tuesday February 23, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport, IN. He was born July 29, 1949 in Crawfordsville, IN the son of James L. and Norma Jean (Adkins) Strean. Surviving family include mother, Norma Jean Strean, Veedersburg; sister Cynthia Marie (Brian) McGuire, Batavia, OH; niece Erin McGuire. He is preceded in death by his father. Mike graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1967 and worked for the Indiana State Highway Department for several years. He was a member of the Veedersburg United Methodist Church, charter member of the Sons of the American Legion, and a former Jay Cee member. Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Friday February 26, 2010 at Mt Hope Cemetery with Pastor Matt Swisher officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg.
