Aleta M. Conn, 74, of Covington, IN, passed away at her residence, Monday, October 4, 2021.

Aleta was born December 22, 1946 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of Virgil T. and Una I. (Woodrow) Daniel. She married Michael G. Conn November 23, 1985 at her parent’s home near Veedersburg.

Surviving family include her husband, Michael Conn, Covington; brother, Stephen (Cathy) Daniel, Lafayette; son, Jason (Jan) Wheaton, Danville, IL; two granddaughters, Riley Conner, Rebecca Unger; and a grandson Edward Unger.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Aleta attended Rabb School through the eighth grade, and graduated from Covington High School in 1964. She was employed for over 25 years as a life insurance agent for Western-Southern Insurance Company.

She had enjoyed traveling by motorcycle with her husband Mike throughout much of the United States, and more recently enjoyed traveling by motor home and spending time at Dauphin Island, Alabama. She loved all kinds of animals including, her chickens, her Great Dane Shaggy, and her granddaughter’s dog Gus. She was part of the Indiana Wildlife Rehabilitation Program and had nursed many baby raccoons, foxes, and deer back to good health. Most of all she loved and enjoyed her grandkids.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday October 9, 2021 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Burial with graveside service will be 1:00 Sunday October 10, 2021 at Mt Hope Cemetery near Covington. Memorial contributions can be given to the Vermilion County Humane Society in Danville, Illinois. Online condolences at www.dickersonfuneralhome.com
