Carla Sue McKinney

Carla Sue McKinney, 67, of Veedersburg, passed away 1:55PM Tuesday June 9, 2020 at Methodist IU Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

Carla was born September 18, 1952 the daughter of Carl A. and Jennie (Oakes) Bowers in Danville, IL. She married Paul C. McKinney May 17, 1969 in Covington, IN.

Surviving family includes her husband, Paul C. McKinney, Veedersburg; two sons, Brad (Misty) McKinney, Covington; Bryan (Tambi) McKinney, Baltimore, OH; two daughters, Trish (Troy) Pugh, Lafayette; Dana (Bill) Hawk, Kingman; two sisters, Cathy Lawson, Covington; Beth Jones, Covington; a brother, Darrell (Janie) Bowers, Covington; thirteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and an infant sister, Patty Ann Bowers.

Carla was a sports fan, specifically she was diehard Cubs fan; and she especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She enjoyed setting around an evening campfire; whether cooking hot dogs & marshmallows, visiting with family and friends, or simply watching and enjoying the fire. However her greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with her family wherever it might have been.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM Friday June 12, 2020 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Jason Davis officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM Friday and continue until the time of service at 2:00PM. Burial will be at Mt Hope Cemetery in Covington.
