Donna May La Foe, 76, of rural Veedersburg, passed away at her home Monday July 27, 2020
Donna was born December 13, 1943 in Danville, IL the daughter of George Wesley and Anna Eliza (Pitchford) Boyd. She married Paul William “Dutch” La Foe November 30, 1963 in Westville, IL.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wes La Foe; a sister, Jackie; and a nephew Robert.
Surviving family include her husband, Paul William “Dutch” La Foe, Veedersburg; two daughters, Jodi L. (John P. “JP”) Curtis, Veedersburg; Peggy A. Bowling, Veedersburg; a sister, Rita L. Cotten, Yeddo; six grandchildren, Adam (Kim) Keeling, April (Chris) Hensler, Caleb (Lizzie) Bowling, Landon (Amber) Curtis, Kaitlyn Curtis, Kathryn Curtis; and ten great-grandchildren.
Donna attended Westville High School and had formerly attended Salem United Methodist Church near Covington. She had been employed at local sewing factories throughout her life, and for many of those years at Steel-Grip in Kingman.
She also enjoyed sewing at home, including alterations, crocheting, quilting, and even some upholstery work. She enjoyed traveling around the area with Dutch in their antique cars and attending local car shows. She loved her fur babies, Kirby and Maggie. Most of all she loved and enjoyed her family and friends.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday July 31, 2020 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Dave Sims officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home and continue until the time of service at 1:00. Memorial contributions may be given to the Veedersburg Fire Department.
