Doris Lucille (Coleman) Holt, 90, passed away January 30, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport, IN. She was born December 26, 1927 in Vermillion County, IN. She was the daughter of Paul Irvin Coleman and Mayme Alice Niccum. She married Richard E. Holt on January 18, 1945 in Veedersburg, IN. She grew up in Wabash Township in Fountain County, IN. She attended Whites School and Rabb Grade School in that township along with Perrysville High School in Perrysville, IN. She worked at the Dairy Queen located on Highway 136 in Warren County, IN from 1959 to 1963. Her retirement happened in 1970 as a packer from the Allied Moving & Storage Company in Danville, IL. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Covington. Enjoying music, she grew up singing and playing the guitar which continued throughout her life. She had a fondness for animals shown through the numerous pets that she cared for over the years. She treasured her church and let her faith be displayed. She loved her family always having time to be with her grandchildren. Surviving are four children: daughter, Carolyn Story; sons, Dale (Mary) Holt, Allen (Marilyn) Holt, and Fred (Sharon) Holt; all of Covington. Her sister: Edna (Don) Whitecotten of Crawfordsville, IN. Her grandchildren: Lesa Epperson, Christy LaFoe, Jason Story, Tracy Holt, Rich Holt, all of Covington; and Lori Miller of Bremen, IN. She had seven step-grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law, Lee Story, a sister, Dorothy Lacey, and two brothers, Paul “Junior” Coleman and Richard Henry Coleman. Visitation will be 1:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday February 3, 2018 at First Assembly of God Church 421 Market St Covington IN. Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 PM Saturday February 3, 2018 at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Bob Fairchild officiating.
