Eleanor J Dice

Eleanor J. Dice, 95, of Veedersburg, passed away 9:35 PM Friday December 16, 2022 at Autumn Trace Assisted Living in Attica, IN.

Eleanor was born May 22, 1927 in Veedersburg the daughter of Lawrence W. and Iris Yolanda (Youngblood) Howard. She married Carl William Dice October 17, 1947 in Veedersburg; he preceded her in death October 9, 2009.

She is also preceded in death by a son, Steven C. Dice; a sister, and two brothers.

Surviving family include a daughter Debbie (Darryl) Bell, Veedersburg; four grandchildren, Casey (Randy) Jumps, Mark (Ashleigh) Dice, Jed Bell, Micah (Daniel) Winter; and ten great-grandchildren.

Eleanor graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1945. Earlier in her life she had been employed at the City Clerk’s office, Co-op, and Marshall Studios, all in Veedersburg.  She enjoyed shopping, and riding bicycles around town with her husband. In recent years she had been attending the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday December 20, 2022 at Dickerson Funeral Home with Pastor Greg McDonald officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday and continue until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Hillsboro Christian Academy c/o Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene 453 South State Road 341 Hillsboro IN 47949.
