Evelyn Ann Coleman

Evelyn Ann “Evie” Coleman, 95, of Veedersburg,IN passed away 11:15 AM Monday June 17, 2024 at her daughter’s residence. 

Evie was born April 4, 1929 in Westville, IL the daughter of John and Mary (Rigo) Russian. She married James Lamarr Coleman September, 25, 1954 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Westville, IL; he preceded her in death June 29, 2021. 

She is also preceded in death by her parents, nine sisters, and two brothers. 

Surviving family include a daughter, Janet Lynne Coleman, Veedersburg; two grandsons, Jason J Coleman, Shane E. (Natalie) Coleman; and seven great-grandchildren, Ella Rae Coleman, Ethan Isaiah Coleman, Lise Maia Coleman, Henrietta Meissa Coleman, Neil Orion Coleman, Ariana Gonzales, and Aleisa Gonzales

Evie graduated from Westville High School, and had been a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Covington since 1954. She will be remembered as a lady who was faithful to the Lord and very devoted to her family. She especially loved her grandsons and great grandchildren dearly.

Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 AM (EDT) Wednesday June 26, 2024 at St Joseph Catholic Church Fellowship Hall in Covington IN. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM (EDT) Wednesday June 26 at St Joseph Catholic Church, Covington with Father David Rasner officiating. Burial will follow at Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg.
