Glenda L West

Glenda L. West, 87, formerly of Cayuga IN passed away 2:25 AM Saturday August 26, 2023 at The Waters in Covington, IN.

Glenda was born June 16, 1936 in Georgetown, IL the daughter of Carl and Amelia (Snyder) Kilgore. She married Leiton F. West August 25, 1956 in Covington IN; he preceded her in death May 9, 2023.

She is also preceded in death by a sister, Irma Kilgore; and three brothers, Arden, Bill, and John Kilgore.

Surviving family include a daughter, Kim West, Covington; a son, Bruce (Loretta) West, Lafayette; a granddaughter Kylee Beth Hohenstein, Cayuga; two great-grandchildren, Bexley and Ellery Hohenstein.

Glenda graduated from Cayuga High School in 1955. She worked with her husband Leiton for over 25 years as they owned and operated West Grocery in Newport IN. She enjoyed working in her gardens, tending to her flowers; but most of all she enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
