James Curtis Hutson

James “Jim” Curtis Hutson,  81, of Veedersburg IN, passed away at his residence 12:40 PM Monday November 19, 2018. Jim was born June 25, 1937 in Fountain County, Indiana the son of Harry and Undine (Harding) Hutson. He was raised in Richland Township and graduated from Richland Township High School in 1955. After high school he was employed at R.R. Donnelly’s for a year; he was then employed for 29 years at Olin’s in Covington, up until his retirement. Jim was in the Indiana National Guard, serving four years and receiving a medical discharge. Following his retirement he could be found mowing his lawn or helping his family and neighbors. He leaves behind a daughter, Toma (Mike) Vail of Covington, a granddaughter Macy Jo (Ryan) Riggleman;  Josh (Elisa) Perry, who was like a son, and their two boys Gavin and Zane; three sisters, Lena Bowling, Pasadena CA; Margaret Starkey, Tonica IL; Carson Hoskins, Waynetown IN; a brother, Kenneth (Brenda) Hutson, Lafayette IN; sister-in-law, Alice Hutson, Williamsport IN; several nieces and nephews; and faithful friends, Buck & Sharon Allen, Jay D & Donita Keller, and Russell (Phyllis) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, companion of 25 years Diane Keller; three brothers, Harold, Melvin, and Joel Hutson; three sisters Ann Caughron, Eulalia Caldwell, and Brooky Harshbarger.    Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 PM Friday November 23, 2018 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg.
