John Andrew Horner

John Andrew Horner, 24, of Advance IN, passed away October 18, 2023 in Indianapolis, IN.

John was born January 21, 1999 in Brunswick GA; the son of James “Jamie” H. Horner and Julie Ann (Wilson) Wood.

John attended Hilton Head Preparatory School and Crawfordsville High School; after high school, attended The University of Alabama, and also served his country in the US Navy. While in the Navy he worked as a cook, which he enjoyed very much; he also enjoyed scuba diving and spearfishing. He had started his own T-Shirt business named Horner Head whose main character was a Hammerhead Shark named Moe. His true Love was the Ocean. His favorite place was Key West and the Florida Keys which also happens to be where he wished for his final resting place to be.

He was loved by everyone who knew him, was a very kind and trusting soul, and he leaves behind many great friends and family members who will miss him dearly.

Surviving family include his mom, Julie Ann (Wilson) Wood, Advance IN; his dad, James H. Horner (Paula), SC; a brother Roby Horner; sister Morgan Bengel MD ; grandparents James Wilson, Advance IN and Juelleen Avery, Crawfordsville IN; three uncles, James (Christine) Wilson, Elizabethtown KY; Jamie Wilson, Michigan; John (Jodi) Horner, AL; and an aunt Deeds Horner, GA

He is preceded in death by grandparents John Horner Jr,  and Ann (Lou) Granados; great-grandparents Roy E (Betsy) Wilson; Clifford Cook and JoAnn (Juewel) Peffly.

Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 PM Tuesday October 24, 2023 at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene 453 IN-341 Hillsboro IN 47949.
