Judith Ann Dodson

Judith Ann “Judy” Dodson, 72, of Veedersburg, passed away at her residence 11:18 AM Wednesday  May 26, 2021.

Judy was born May 19, 1949 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of Alva H. and C. Marie (Bowers) Lawson. She married Robert E. “Bob” Dodson November 16, 1968 at the E.U.B. Church in Veedersburg, Indiana.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Harold “Buddy” Lawson.

Surviving family include her husband, Bob Dodson, Veedersburg; a daughter, Belinda M. Marshall, Hillsboro IN; a son, Brad (Tomi) Dodson, Houston TX; a brother, Robert G. “Bob” Lawson, Veedersburg; four grandchildren, Taylor & Shelby Marshall, Noah & Aiden Dodson, and several nieces and nephews.

Judy graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1967. She was a member of the Sterling Christian Church.  Earlier in life she was employed at Chuckles in Danville IL, and she was employed for many years at Veedersburg Food Basket after her children became school age.

She enjoyed many friends in life, especially those of the Bible Study Gals who have been meeting for 37 years. She enjoyed Bingo, Bunco, and her grandchildren’s sporting events. Her life revolved around her family; she loved and enjoyed them very much, most especially her grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12:00 to 2:00 PM Tuesday June 1, 2021 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 PM, Pastor Gary Johnson officiating.
