Kathaleen E Perry

Kathaleen E. “Kathy” Perry, 78, of rural Veedersburg, passed away at her residence 3:00PM Wednesday September 29, 2021 with her family at her side.  

Kathy was born December 26, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of William E. and Olga (Bilik) Elliott. She married Mark A. Perry July 5, 1985 in Danville, Illinois.

Surviving family includes her husband Mark A. Perry, Veedersburg; a daughter, Pamela K. (Brad) Sprouls, Gulf Shores, AL; three grandchildren, Misty (Scott Perry) Smoot, Oakwood, IL; Kacey (Alicia) Sprouls, Denver, CO; Bradley (Shelby) Sprouls, Bloomimgton, IL; three great-grandchildren, Dylan Smoot, Ava Smoot, Amelia Sprouls; brother-in-law, Steve Perry, Veedersburg; sister-in-law, Chris Perry, Crawfordsville; nieces, Shelley (Cory) Vacaa, Missie Bickel; nephew, Brian (Dayna) Perry; and lifelong friend, Chris (Morgan) Herzog, Nokomis, FL.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Scott Phillips; brother George Thomas “Nubby” Elliott; sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Howie Deckard; sister-in-law, Cathy Perry; and brother-in-law, Randy Perry.

Kathy graduated from Danville High School in 1960, she had been baptized at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Danville, IL. She was employed for many years as receptionist at the Blue Cross Blue Shield office in Danville prior to her retirement. She loved her cats, her husband, and her family; they all brought great happiness into her life.

Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00 PM Sunday October 3, 2021 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Funeral Service will begin 4:00 PM Sunday October 3 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Paws & Claws animal shelter. Online condolences at www.dickersonfuneralhome.com.
