Lexi Michelle Dixon, 24, formerly of Covington IN, passed away Wednesday May 3, 2023 at IU University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
Lexi was born April 14, 1999 in Danville, IL the daughter of Bruce A. and Jackie S. (Berlin) Dixon.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Betty Berlin.
Surviving family include her parents Bruce & Jackie Dixon, Covington; a sister Kali Nicole Dixon (fiancé Justin Gnatiuk) Cuyahoga Falls, OH; a twin brother, Logan Scott Dixon (S/O Shiley Claypool) Louisville, KY; grandparents Gene & Eunice Dixon, Covington, IN; her S/O, Cory Ray; and a cousin Kari Mangum (husband Fletcher) Wilmington, NC.
Lexi graduated from Covington High School in 2017; most recently she was employed at Goodwill in Lafayette. She enjoyed looking for bargains there and made several friends with her coworkers. Lexi loved animals of all kinds, especially her Tabby cat, Felix. If she could, she would have taken in every stray she found. One of her greatest memories was spending the summer with her sister, traveling to New York City on her first day of her senior year, sleeping on the sidewalk outside of Madison Square Garden to be first in line to see their favorite band.
Visitation is 4:00 – 7:00 PM Friday May 5, 2023 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg, IN. Funeral is 11:00 AM Saturday May 6, 2023 at Dickerson Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Hope Cemetery near Covington. Casual attire is acceptable, because that is how Lexi preferred to be. Memorial contributions may be given to Paws & Claws in Attica IN.
