Lisa N Crews-Henk

Lisa N. Crews-Henk, 50, of West Lebanon, IN, passed away at 2:09 AM Tuesday December 12, 2023 at Franciscan Health in Lafayette, IN.

Lisa was born August 3, 1973 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of Donald Crews and Christy Ann (Richey) Reed; they preceded her in death.

She married Neal F. Henk on July 25, 1993 in Covington, IN.

Surviving family include her husband, Neal Henk, West Lebanon, IN; two daughters,

McKenzie (Joshua) Blair, Potomac IL; Mariah Henk, West Lebanon, IN; step-dad, Sam Reed, Covington IN; step-siblings Lee (Suzie) Reed, Teresa (Doug) Reed-Barnette, Crystal Reed; two grandchildren, Galileo Blair and Aine Blair; and several half-siblings.

Lisa graduated from Covington High School in 1991, where she was active in basketball and volleyball. She then attended Ivy Tech Community College where she obtained her associate’s degree in Marketing. 

Lisa had a love for art and photography and was extremely gifted in bringing out the best in each photo or piece of art she created. She started professionally taking pictures in high school and spent many years as a sports photographer. Lisa took senior pictures for countless graduates as well as family photos. She loved taking pictures and connecting with families. Recently, she dove into western style photography, which brought new life into her works and inspired her to digitally paint the pictures she took.

Road trips were something Lisa loved every part of. She enjoyed planning them and finding the most unique places to experience with those that she loved. She loved driving and “jamming out to 80s music” and Stevie Nicks with a Starbucks drink in hand. She always had a prism hanging from her rear view mirror because she loved the colors that the prism would fill her car with. 

Lisa always had a kind word for everyone and brought out the best in others - not only through her artistry but through the kindness she would show to others.

More than anything, Lisa loved her daughters and her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at 6:00 PM Monday December 18, 2023 at First Assembly of God, 421 Market Street Covington, IN 47932, with Pastor Bob Fairchild officiating.
