Patricia Marie “Pat” Bowling, 77, of Veedersburg, passed away 3:55 PM Monday July 2, 2018 at Williamsport Nursing and Rehab in Williamsport, IN with her family at her side. Pat was born February 18, 1941 in Stone Bluff, IN the daughter of the late George and Gladys (Smith) Hancock. She was married to C.V. Keeling from 1960 until 1978; they were blessed with a daughter and three sons. She married William O. “Bill” Bowling December 1, 1990 in Attica, IN. He preceded her in death December 2, 2010. Surviving family include three sons, Eric (Julie) Keeling, Veedersburg; Todd (Tricia) Keeling, Hillsboro; Cory (Megan) Keeling, Veedersburg; a daughter, Lisa (Brian) Galloway, Veedersburg; a brother, George Arnold (Delores) Hancock, Stone Bluff, IN; a sister Charlotte Starkey, Covington IN; Bill’s six sons, Tom (Katrina) Bowling, Crawfordsville; Tony (Carla) Bowling, Covington; Terry (Mindy) Bowling, Darlington; Wm. Dewaine (Kim) Bowling, Hillsboro; Ty (Marci) Bowling, Covington; Dewey (Amie) Bowling, Veedersburg; multitudes of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many life-long friends. Pat graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1959. Through the years she had been employed at Flexel near Covington for 10 years, and in the record department at St Claire Hospital in Crawfordsville for 9 years. She was a member of the Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg and the Sterling Ladies Aide. Pat was a self-taught artist and spent many hours painting. She enjoyed displaying her work at local festivals. Throughout the years she also enjoyed coaching girls’ softball, traveling, writing poetry and wintering at the Sweetwater Resort in Zephyrhills, FL. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and many friends. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday July 6, 2018 at Sterling Christian Church 701 S Sterling Ave Veedersburg IN with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Visitation will be also be at the church 5:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday July 5, 2018. Burial will be at Rockfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
