Richard Lynn Kelley

Richard Lynn Kelley, 66, of Veedersburg IN, passed away 7:37 AM Saturday January 20, 2024 at Ascension St Vincent Hospital in Kokomo, IN. 

 Richard was born August 15, 1957 in Lafayette, IN the son of Richard Lee and Martha J (Hayman) Kelley. He had previously been married to Kathy (Cotten) Pipher and they were blessed with two children; Jeremy and Jennifer.

 Surviving family include a son Jeremy Kelley; a daughter, Jennifer (Jeremy) Wise, Covington; a brother Mark A. Kelley, Stone Bluff; two sisters, Nancy J Butler, Attica; Marsha D. (Greg) June, Easley SC; three grandchildren, Ethan Wise, Deven Wise, and Zacharia Wise. 

 He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother in law, Ron Butler.

 Richard graduated from Fountain Central High School in 1975. Shortly after graduation he went to work at Olin in Covington and continued employment there with Flexel until their closing. He then worked for Newtown Farm Service until his retirement. 

 He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan; he enjoyed visiting and drinking coffee with his many friends at The Apple Tree and the Old 41 Diner in Veedersburg. He enjoyed tinkering with projects in his garage; and had a keen interest in wolves, collecting and displaying figurines and artistic representations of wolves.
