Robert W Glover

Robert W. “Bob” Glover, 71, of Urbana IL, passed away at his residence Friday October 1, 2021.

Bob was born March 5, 1950 in Danville, Illinois, the son of James Albert and Helen Louise (Dimmich) Glover Jr.

Surviving family include a daughter, Lindsey Glover; a brother,  Bill D. Glover, Covington, IN; and a sister, Brenda K. Glover, Beech Grove, IN.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Pam White Glover; three sisters, Beth Fordice, Betty Rouse, and Becky Glover.

Bob graduated from Covington High School in 1968; he then served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Detroit, a new ship at the time commissioned out of Puget Sound. He was employed at Olin near Covington for a few years, and at the VA Medical Center in Danville for many years prior to his retirement.  He enjoyed working on many craft projects, and was an avid roller skater in his younger years.

Per Bob’s request there will be no services, burial will be at 1:00 PM Monday October 11, 2021 at Osborn Prairie Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Fountain County 4-H, or Osborn Prairie Cemetery. Online condolences at www.dickersonfuneralhome.com
